Welcome to Ohio Friends!
Ohio Friends is a social group for those with Herpes
and or HPV (human papillomavirus). Since 1999 our purpose has been to
provide friendship and support to those affected by these viruses.
After a diagnoses of one of these viruses you probably have a lot of
questions. First of all you're not alone. According to the American
Social Health Association more than five million people are infected
with HPV and one in five Americans have genital herpes. There is so much
information about these viruses on the internet. Ohio Friends suggests
you stay with one source for your information. We recommend
ASHA. Many
of your questions can be answered at an ASHA
supported HELP GROUP. Ohio
has four such HELP GROUPS; located in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus,
and Dayton.
After having most of your questions answered many still find it hard to
believe they will ever meet someone and love again. You will meet
someone. Join Ohio Friends and attend one of our upcoming events. Ohio
Friends will allow you to socialize again and draw strength from others
in your same situation. After six years, this group can boast 11
marriages and many many friends. Not everyone has met someone within
the group. As a matter of fact almost of our couples met outside the
group and one partner has the virus and the other doesn't. Still
they have started families and moved on with their lives. You can too!
Herpes? Not something that many people want to think
about. But 1 in 4 people DO think about it, because they have it. And
there is a dating site, just for them. Meet People with H at
